Deze prachtige rood-witte Jami-Ul-Alfar moskee ligt middenin een drukke winkelstraat. Het contrast van de buitenkant is daarom heel bijzonder om te aanschouwen. Let er wel op dat je gepast gekleed moet zijn (knie\u00ebn en schouders bedekt en als vrouw krijg je een hoofddoek om). Sowieso is het voor jezelf fijn om in Colombo iets meer bedekt gekleed te gaan. In de Gangaramaya tempel liggen &#8211; naar verluidt &#8211; de haren van Boeddha, waardoor het een must visit is voor boeddhisten in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theworldtrippers.com\/nl\/azie\/sri-lanka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sri Lanka<\/a>. Net als in de Temple of Tooth in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theworldtrippers.com\/nl\/azie\/sri-lanka\/wat-te-doen-kandy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kandy<\/a> &#8211; waar de tand van Boeddha ligt &#8211; komen dagelijks duizenden boeddhisten naar de Gangaramaya tempel. Het is super bijzonder om dit te zien en hier bij aanwezig te zijn. Zorg ook hier dat je gepast en bedekt gekleed bent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"pettah-market\">Pettah Market<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dompel je onder in de chaos en drukte van de Sri Lankaanse winkelstraten op de Pettah Market. Je vindt hier ongeveer alle producten die je kan bedenken: van etenswaren tot sokken en elektronica. Het is erg gaaf om hier naar boven te gaan en een super weids uitzicht over Colombo en de rest van Sri Lanka te hebben. Echter, een ticket voor een niet-Sri Lankaans persoon is $20, wat heel flink is als je het ons vraagt. Bepaal zelf of je dit ervoor over hebt.
