Bernabéu

The Bernabéu stadium is located in northern Madrid. When the stadium is completely sold out, which is almost every game, 80,000 people can watch the game in the stadium. Would you also like to book a ticket for a specific match? Then check out Real Madrid’s official website.

The stadium is easily accessible from all over Madrid by metro: metro line 10 at Santiago Bernabéu station. Anyway, throughout Madrid it is easy and convenient to travel by metro. There are a total of 13 different lines, each with its own color or number. At some stations you can change to another color, which will then take you to your desired destination.

If you don’t like watching soccer matches but enjoy learning more about the club and the stadium, Bernabéu is also the right place to be.

In fact, the club offers tours of the Bernabéu stadium, complete with a walk around the field, a look at the trophy room, locker rooms, tunnel, dugouts and technical areas. The tour costs 19 euros. For this price, you do spend a good part of the afternoon doing this activity. No guide is included, but you will get clear explanations through the English-language audioguide.

You will also find the Real Madrid museum in the Bernabéu stadium. Here you travel through the club’s successful history. Notable highlights include ten European Cups and numerous wins in matches against other Spanish soccer clubs. The museum is brimming with cups and trophies that Real Madrid’s teams, both basketball and soccer, have won over the years. Admission to the museum is included in the price for the tour of Real Madrid’s Estadio Bernabéu.

Many restaurants and food stalls can be found in the immediate vicinity of the stadium. When a match takes place in the evening, a few hours beforehand there is already a cozy atmosphere of supporters here. Therefore, it is very nice and cozy to be here also a little earlier, have some good drinks and food, and chat with the supporters. This will give you an even better idea of soccer culture in Spain.
