Kuala Lumpur Tower
It is also called the Menara KL Tower. This tower is 421 meters high, making it one of the tallest communication towers in the world and, of course, the tallest in Malaysia. It is built so that the Kuala Lumpur Tower can handle most extreme wind.
The KL Tower stands in the KL Forest Eco-Park, near Bukit Nanas. This is a nice park to take a short walk through. You can even walk across the suspension bridge here. KL Tower is also a member of the World Federations of Great Towers (WFGT). Other major towers that are members of this include the Eiffel Tower and the Burj Khalifa. With Kuala Lumpur ‘s public transportation, you’ll be at KL Tower in no time. You can get off at Masjid Jamek subway station and walk 20 minutes or take the Grab.
Atmosphere 360
You can visit the KL Tower throughout the year. It is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. You can choose to visit the Skydeck, from here you already have a great view of the city. Nevertheless, it is wiser and more fun to opt for lunch, high tea or dinner at the restaurant on the top floor: Atmosphere 360. In fact, the entrance fee to the Skydeck is 80 RM (€18) per person. On weekdays, lunch with a full buffet costs 118 RM (€25), high tea with a buffet costs 88 RM (€20) and dinner with a buffet costs 200 RM (€42). On weekends, prices are slightly higher.
You can see here that a high tea with a full buffet is only 2 euros more expensive than just admission to the Skydeck. Reservations for the Atmosphere 360 restaurant also allow you to go to the Skydeck. So it would be a shame to pass up this delicious buffet for this.
Dinner at Atmosphere 360 is a real experience. It is important to know that it is not allowed for men to walk around the restaurant wearing shorts. Therefore, make sure you have long pants on, otherwise you will be put on a sarong at the entrance. Once you find your spot and the buffet is opened, the platform starts spinning very quietly. This way you can see all sides of Kuala Lumpur.
It is highly recommended to eat and drink at Atmosphere 360 while overlooking the beautiful skyline. Especially during dinner, the city is dark and all the buildings are lit up. This gives you an impressive view. You can reserve your tickets in advance through this website. Please note that in the months of July, August and December you need to book at least 3 days in advance as it sells out quickly due to crowds.
